FINANCIAL AID

PTPTN

The PTPTN Education Loan Scheme was created for the purpose of providing educational loans to students studying at local Higher Education Institutions. This education loan will allow students to pay in full or part of the tuition fees as well as the cost of living throughout the study period. At the same time, it opens up more opportunities for all students to pursue higher education.

  • Have savings in Account 2

  • Currently pursuing or completed - Diploma, Bachelor, Master or PhD

  • Studying at local institutions.

PTPTN APPLICATION & APPROVAL

SIBLING DISCOUNT

This is a one-off deduction for new registrations (i.e. new students) only. The Sibling Discount will be awarded to the next sibling when both siblings attend UNIKOP Cyberjaya at the same time and tuition fees are paid in full; or if one of the siblings has completed or is still pursuing a programme of study of more than a year’s duration at UNIKOP Cyberjaya

The Parent Alumni Discount will be awarded to the students whose parent have completed their studies with UNIKOP Cyberjaya. Applicable to all programmes, except part-time and short courses. This discount is applicable to both Malaysian and international students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be registered as UNIKOP Cyberjaya students

  • Not applicable to government sponsored, corporate sponsored or Language programmes students

  • The discount is in the form of a tuition fee waiver. It shall not be deducted from any general, registration, application or exam fees

  • This discount is provided as a “One Time Off Deduction” for new registrants only. It will not be valid for returning, repeating or continuing students

  • The final decision to grant the discount is at the sole discretion of the Admissions Unit of Unikop College

  • This discount is valid for all Malaysians and International students

  • Certified photocopies of Birth Certificate for both siblings;

  • Certified photocopies of Completion Certificate, Academic Transcripts or Current Student ID Card from UNIKOP Cyberjaya of a sibling

Application form can be obtained from the financial assistance unit located at Level 1.

EPF WITHDRAWAL

Educational Withdrawal

  • This withdrawal allows members to withdraw savings from Account 2 for the purpose of financing members/ children's tuition fees (including stepchildren and adopted children) at institutes of higher learning locally or overseas.

  • All you need to do is fill in the application form from Financial Assistance Unit (FAU).

  • The form will be brought to the Registry Department for the next process.

  • Officers from the Registry Department will provide complete documents for the students to submit to the nearest EPF counter.

  • Upon receipt of approval from the EPF, payment will be made to the College.

YAYASAN BANK RAKYAT

  • FULL-TIME STUDY only.

  • Applicants must have a savings account with Bank Rakyat with a minimum account balance of RM100 before applying.

  • Not less than 18 years old when applying and accepting study offers.

  • Not more than 30 years after graduation.

  • Confirmation of admission from a public university OR Training Centre OR private.

  • Applicants must have SPM qualification (Malaysian Certificate of Education) with a minimum grade of 5A.

  • Duration of study of 3 years / 6 semesters.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Educational assistance for Indian community – B40

  • Tuition Fee Assistance of up to RM5,000.00 for Bachelor's Degree and RM3,000.00 for Diploma for each eligible B40 Indian student, according to the application criteria, to reduce the burden of tuition fees on parents.

  • The contribution is given in the form of a check to the respective IPTA/IPTS.

ASSISTANCE FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION TO LOCAL INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING (IPT)

  • This is a one-off assistance provided to start studies at local IPT at the Foundation, Diploma, and Degree levels. It is intended for the asnaf (needy) categories of the poor, destitute, and fisabilillah whose household income does not exceed the kifayah limit.

FISABILILLAH EDUCATION CONTINUATION CONTRIBUTION TO IPT

  • This is a one-off assistance provided to start studies at local IPT at the Foundation, Diploma, and Degree levels. It is intended for the fisabilillah category whose Household Head income exceeds the kifayah limit up to RM10,000.00.

  • ASNAF CATEGORIES: Poor, destitute, and fisabilillah.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Application for 'ASSISTANCE FOR ADMISSION TO IPT'

  • The applicant must make an Early Study Registration Payment or submit a Confirmation Letter of Acceptance from the IPT.

  • Applications are only given ONCE throughout the study period for each different level of study.

  • Must be a Muslim.

  • From a low-income family.

  • Must not be receiving sponsorship, financing, scholarships, or loans (convertible or otherwise) from any source except for the PTPTN and Penang State Government Educational Financial Aid ONLY.

  • The amount of assistance depends on the decision of the Study Scholarship Committee Meeting.

  • Education Assistance is an initiative in the form of initial preparation fee assistance for entry into Institutions of Higher Learning (IPT).

  • The contribution given is in the form of cash (one-off). All applications received will be presented through the Education Fund Resources & Distribution Committee of Yayasan Johor Corporation.

  • A child born in the state of Perak (Malaysian citizen) as follows:-

  • Currently pursuing FULL-TIME studies in the SECOND SEMESTER AND ABOVE at the DIPLOMA level,

  • Household (Parents / Applicant / Spouse) family income of RM3,000 and below (basic salary). A copy of own or spouse’s income must be submitted if the applicant is working / married.

  • Achieving a GPA of 3.0 and above.
